The Overview page on organization and request records can be configured to suit your foundation's needs. Once an administrator makes these layout configurations in your site, they are in effect for all users.
A user needs the Manage Record Page Layouts permission to take the actions described in this article.
Available configuration changes for organization and request Overview pages include:
- Show, hide, and reorder sections and fields.
- Rename sections.
- Add tooltips to any field, providing additional information to staff.
- Move custom fields from a separate tab onto the Overview tab.
- Reorder or hide tabs.
Use the Record Page Layout Editor
Follow the steps below to configure organization and request Overview pages.
- Click the gear icon in the navigation menu.
- Click Record Page Layouts.
- Click Organization or Request to edit the Overview page for the corresponding record type.
- Make the desired configurations, and then search for a record in your site on which to preview the changes.
- Details are available below about the available configuration changes.
- Configuration edits save automatically as a draft but are not live until you click Publish.
- Click Publish to make the changes live for all users in your site.
At any time, click Reset to either discard the current draft configurations, or reset to the system default page configuration.
Below are details on how to make the available configuration changes.
- Click a section header and edit the text to rename it.
- Click the eye icon next to a section, field, or tab to hide it.
- Click the plus icon for a hidden section, field, or tab to show it.
- Click the drag and drop icon next to a section, field, or tab and move it to the desired location.
- Click Add Custom Field, and then check the box for the desired field to add it to a section.
- Click the info icon next to a field to enter or edit tooltip text, which is then visible when hovering over the field.
