Microsoft is aware of issues impacting add-ins when using its new version of the Outlook app. Follow these steps to revert back to the classic version as needed, and submit a GivingData Support ticket if you need additional assistance.
Revert to Classic Outlook for Windows
If you toggle into the new Outlook for Windows preview, every time you launch Outlook you are redirected to the new Outlook. There are two methods to revert the app in Windows.
- Method 1: Click the toggle in the upper-right corner of the app.
- Method 2: Click Help in the upper navigation bar, and then click Go to Classic Outlook.
Revert to Classic Outlook for Mac
If you toggle into the new Outlook for Mac preview, every time you launch Outlook you are redirected to the new Outlook. To revert the app, click Help in the upper navigation bar, and then click Revert to Legacy Outlook.
Email accounts added in the new Outlook for Mac are automatically be added to legacy Outlook, and vice versa. These accounts need to be managed independently based on which app version is being used.
